SellisofCambridge Unique Hand-crafted Jewellery for Every Occasion
I first started making Jewellery around 2007 and work primarily with Sterling Silver, semi-precious stones and Freshwater Pearls. Although I trained as a specialist nurse, I always knew I had a crafty, creative streak and when my daughter was born and I gave up my work as a lecturer for Cambridge University I found myself tinkering with bits and pieces, in fact, the first things I made were beaded bookmarks.
When I started selling these at All Saints’ Craft Market in 2004, I loved it! The craft market has a wonderful buzz about it, is situated in a fantastic location in the centre of historic Cambridge and I have met some truly amazing people over the years. But, over time, I felt myself getting a little stifled with limiting my creative outlet to bookmarks and so embarked upon Jewellery and, in particular, Sterling Silver.
Even now, I am fascinated by the unique properties of silver and the countless techniques, processes and possibilities involved.
I am self-taught and everyday I learn more and develop as a designer and maker and everyday I feel blessed to be doing something I love and humbled by the fact that my customers return time after time.
